Graphic & Print Design

Matthew studied at Central St Martins College of Art and Design between 2002 and 2005.

A trained Theatre Designer with a keen interest in Graphic Design, he is completely self taught, relying on a natural eye for detail and an intuitive understanding of form and layout. He currently uses Adobe Creative Suite 5, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Film

Having worked in the Film and Theatre industries as a set designer and storyboard artist, Matthew took a 1 year course at the Met Film School in 2007 where he directed and produced two short films. Since then he has produced, shot and edited projects from music videos and live events to corporate videos.

He edits with Final Cut Studio.

Digital Illustration

Matthew’s Illustrations are mostly digital, drawn straight into Photoshop using a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet; this both gives his workflow a huge amount of flexibility as well as increased speed.

With a background in technical drawing as well as painting, he is able to visualise space and subject with clarity and sensitivity.

Animation

The animations Matthew produces fall into two main categories; corporate-style Flash work and stop frame, hand drawn short films. A small selection of completed animated films are shown here, however his portfolio of animated work is extensive and ranges from banner ads to animated presentations and features.

He animates with Adobe Flash and Final Cut Studio.

Web Design

Web Design, in it’s broadest sense, accounts for the majority of our work at the moment, ranging from complete site builds, to banner ads, HTML templates and minor code fixes.

Skills include PHP, MySQL, CSS, Actionscript 3.0, XHTML, eCommerce solutions, WordPress customisation, Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

Photography

The photographic work Matthew produces is characterised by a sharp, vivid tonality with high levels of contrast; images are often shot with a macro or telephoto lens to give an increased sense of drama. Professional work ranges from Fashion photography to studio portraiture.

He shoots with a Canon EOS 5D and Canon EF lenses, editing with Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom tablet.
